2 cups Granulated sugar
¾ cup Water
¼ teaspoon Cream of tarter
1/8 teaspoon Salt
- In a saucepot, combine all ingredients and heat over medium heat.
- Stir till mixture until it comes to a slow simmer and cook for about 5 minutes, or until the mixture comes to 240 degrees or “Soft Ball Stage.”
- Remove from heat and cool to room temperature.
- Use immediately or store in an airtight container.
*For “Dark Corn Syrup” add 1 teaspoon of carmel color and 1 tablespoon of molasses.
