Chef Shawn Bucher, CEC, CCE, CFE, CCP, CDM, CFPP
Chef Shawn is a professional chef and culinary consultant, entrepreneur and author. Having traveled the country and worked professionally in most aspects of the foodservice industry for over 15 years, Shawn has held positions such as Chef Instructor, Consultant, Food and Beverage Director, Executive Chef and General manager of both full service and quick service casual restaurants. He currently owns and operates a consulting company that specializes in supporting major equipment manufactures. He also works as an executive success coach/consultant for DM&A-the largest healthcare consulting firm in the country.
Shawn holds a Culinary Certificate, a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality & Tourism Management as well as Accounting & Professional Sales Certificates. He is Certified Executive Chef (CEC) and Certified Culinary Educator (CCE) through the American Culinary Federation, a Certified Foodservice Executive (CFE) through the International Foodservice Executives Association and a Certified Culinary Professional (CCP) through the International Association of Culinary Professionals. He also is a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) and Certified Food Protection Professional (CFPP) through the ANFP.
He is the recipient of numerous awards, recently he was one of the top four finalists for the 2011 foodservice professional Ocean Spray recipe contest. Chef Shawn has taught professionally as a chef instructor for The International Culinary Schools at The Art Insitute in Salt Lake City and teaches home cooks at the Gygi Culinary Institute and other retail outlets.
